How is it that someone is able to spend hundreds of dollars without anyone verifying their identity?  Should there be stricter laws enforced and preventative measures created by the stores themselves?

According to a paper entitle “The Aftermath Study,” nearly 10 million Americans each year fall victim to identity theft.  What are we law-abiding Americans  supposed to do in order to prevent the Identity Theft crisis?

The truth is we can’t stop identity theft.  It is a growing crime that is getting harder and harder to prevent.

The only thing that is in the scope of our power is to get some sort of identity theft insurance.

There are companies that claim to cover identity theft, which usually means credit card theft, however Identity Theft actually includes a multitude of injustices.

How would you like it if you crossed into another state and were arrested because someone commited a crime using your name instead of their real name?  This is Identity Theft.  How would you feel if you weren’t allowed to have a liver transplant, because you supposedly had diagnosis of AIDS when in fact this isn’t true ?  This is another example of Identity Theft.

When searching for insurance companies that cover Identity Theft, make sure that they will cover all parts of Identity Theft.  Makes sure they cover the medical, law, as well as the financial side of Identity Theft.  Most of the insurance plans cost roughly between 12-15 dollars a month and some plans cover your entire family.  This means your spouse and all your children are covered under the plan.

Keep in mind that the monthly costs are low and your entire family will be covered.  It is a great deal and it’s a small price to pay for keeping your good name.
